This page summarizes where information used by Bora Praia is stored and how available deletion and retention controls work.
Some features can be used without creating an account. Account-backed features require registration or sign-in.
You can begin Bora Praia as a guest with one saved place. If you sign in, the service processes your name, email address, account identifier, sign-in provider identifier, and authentication sessions so saved information can be restored across supported devices.
Guest operation uses an installation identifier so the first saved place and related state can be associated with that installation and merged if you later sign in.
Bora Praia keeps an owner-scoped offline cache of saved places, plans, forecasts, preferences, travel dates, reminder choices, and pending changes on your device.
Bora Praia processes saved places and coordinates, routines, weather preferences, travel plans, reminder intent, generated plans, and public share snapshots to provide and restore planning features.
The service also processes allowlisted product events and privacy-minimized request or provider-health records, including timestamps, endpoint status, pseudonymous identifiers, and hashed or otherwise reduced network information, for reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
With foreground location permission, Bora Praia can use your current approximate or precise location to suggest or save a place and request relevant weather, tide, map, or marine information. You can search or choose a place manually instead.
A saved place includes coordinates and can be associated with a guest installation or signed-in account so its routines and plans can be restored.
Guests can reset local app data from Settings. Signed-in users can request account deletion through the account controls, which removes account-owned data and resets local authentication and app state.
Privacy-minimized operational records may be anonymized or retained for a limited period where needed for security, fraud prevention, service integrity, legal obligations, or backup recovery.
Information processed by our services is retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide the feature, protect the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or maintain backup integrity. Different records may have different retention periods.
